You are the most laid back, gentle and sweetest boy that I could have been blessed with. Your heart is solid gold.. you took such good care of little Sasha when I first brought her home after her multiple abuse.

You’ve taught me so so much. Patience, kindness and tolerance were just a few of the virtues you possessed.

I pray everyday that you’re safe, happy and healthy. And I know you’ll come home to me again one day.

I love you with all my heart and you will forever be mummy’s favorite chocolate fudge and brownie boy.

Super Cuddles will continue to grow in your name (Juggie) and Sasha’s.

I will always remember, you walked in to our lives on March 23, 2008. And just a few days later, together with Juggie and Sasha, you were present to see us marry.

It didn’t take you long to become a part of our family. Having lazy Sunday naps with us on our bed. You taking the top left pillow, Sasha lying in between us and Juggie occupying the bottom of the bed.

You became one of our three precious musketeers!

You were around for many of our first. Starting with our wedding, my pregnancy and our first born. You were also our first batch of clients when Super Cuddles took flight. And not forgetting, you are our first PR (permanent resident). I really can’t imagine having accomplished what we’ve done without you by our side. We’ve come a loooong way together.

You were and always will be the DIVA in our family. I remember during my pregnancy, we had to send you to the groomer and he did the mistake of clipping all your fur! You were soooo angry with us when we took you home that you practically gave us HELL!!

Peeing and pooing everywhere for the next 3 months till your fur grew back again. And it happened especially during when we were about to call it a night, you’ll run under our bed and crap just in the center so that it would be hard for us to reach and clean up. Boy, were you NAUGHTY!! Hahaha.. (since that incident, we’ve sure learned our lesson… never ever give you a crew cut!)

Also, you were always the first in the kitchen when it came to mealtime, and the last to leave cuz you were always scavenging even though there was clearly nothing left behind.

Besides food, you LOVE drinking water. For a little Shih Tzu, you can sure drink! I guess that’s the secret to your youthful looks. We could see that your other love was Juggie. And he feels the same for you too.

Your passing has left a hole in my heart. I will always remember all these firsts with you and your cheekiness… sneaking up behind us after you’ve had a drink and splashing the remains of the water on us. We would scold you and you’ll just stroll along with a big smug on your face. Oh, and I’ll never forget those beautiful big eyes and smile.

Last but not least, your bravery. Despite your size, you never let anything or anyone dictate you. Even till the very end.

I love you, Sherri. Always have and always will.
Thank you for sharing your time on earth with us and leaving your prints in our hearts forever.

I don’t believe in goodbyes. So, I guess I’ll see you later, my baby Sherri.

Life is a roller coaster, some wonderful, and some painful moments. And it is through these experiences, that we grow and treasure what we have right in front of us everyday.

We want to thank all our customers who have supported us and continue to do so. We are truly blessed to do what we love and have such wonderful and gracious clients.

We’ve had dogs from all different breeds falling head over paws for each other. And most of the time, the sparks fly off immediately! You can say it was “love at first bark”.

There’s been love of all kinds. From the unrequited to attraction of the same gender and of course, full bloom fireworks!!

Just to name a few, there was Sparkie (Miniature Schnauzer) falling for our Poodle, Sasha. Just watch him go after her.. http://www.supercuddles.com/video/sparkies-first-crushaaah.html

Then, there was Bobby (Shetland Sheepdog) who was clearly attracted to our Juggie boy (American Cocker Spaniel). He kept following and kissing Jugs so much that our poor boy didn’t get to sleep for 2 days! The rest of his stay, we had to keep Jugs away from him.

Successful love matches happened between Kabous (Maltese) and Sweetie (Cockapoo); Nikey (Miniature Schnauzer) and Koko (Shih Tzu); and our very own Juggie boy with his main squeeze, permanent resident Sherri (Shih Tzu).

We’ve even had a case of a “love triangle” happening before our very eyes! The parties involved were Budder (Boston Terrier), Aiko (Shiba Inu) and Sol (Italian Greyhound).

The story starts off with Budder and Sol meeting for the very first time, during one of their many stays with us. Sol, being young and cheeky, kept disturbing Budder and her sis, Punkin (Miniature Pinscher). Both sisters found him extremely annoying, so they cornered him once in the kitchen and tried to scare him in to leaving them alone. No sparks flew then.

A few weeks passed and this time, Sol met Aiko for the first time. Wow! Sol was immediately taken in by Aiko’s beauty and similar playfulness. From that day on, Sol only had eyes for Aiko.

A month later, the whole gang came back. But something changed.. Budder, seeing that Sol was loyally snuggling up only to Aiko, started showing interest in him and tried her hardest to get his attention but to no avail. So she did what some girls would do in her position, confront her competition! hahaha… It was really funny!!

Last but not least, we’ve had this particular pair of stray cats (we assume that they’re married) living on our hot tin roof. Always soooo loving and sometimes, extremely noisy too.. if you know where we’re going with this.

So if you’re looking for a “soulmate” for your little ones, come to us and who knows, fireworks could happen for them too!

Hmmm.. maybe we should have a greeting that says: “Welcome to Super Cuddles, The Love Hotel”. *wink*

Sherri is really an amazingly tough gal. She just turned 13 in June but she almost didn’t make it. Her story is truly inspiring…

I was in my last term of pregnancy in December 2008 and so, we had to send Sherri and our two darlings, Juggie and Sasha to stay with my best friend for a number of weeks.

On the eve of 2009, my best friend called and said that Sherri was not her usual self. She was not eating nor was she moving from the same spot for hours. So we continued monitoring her for the next 24 hours. New year’s day, she started having diarrhea.

January 2, 2009, we brought her to the vet. She was so weak that we could see it was hard for her even to lift her head to look at us.

After running some blood test, the results came back and she was diagnosed with liver cancer. The cancer was spreading at a fast pace, 70% of her liver was already damaged. The vet told us that all we could do now was to put her on a number of antibiotics and pray hard that her liver would be able to regenerate faster than the cancer cells.

Even though she isn’t technically “our” dog, but she’s become a part of our family. We love her so much. I broke down a few times but with my hubby and best friend’s encouragement and support, we stayed strong for her and cared for her day and night.

We made sure she was always comfortable, sleeping on a soft cushion with a blanket to keep her warm. Most of her meals, I had to hand feed her as she was getting too weak to move about.

Two weeks past and we brought her back to the vet for a follow-up. Again, they ran some blood test. The results were good, her liver was regenerating fast and she was beating the cancer.

We continued with the medication for another two months and now, her liver is working perfectly and she’s back to her cheeky self again!

Through this incident, we’ve learned a lot from her. Bottom line is, no matter what the odds are against you, never ever give up!

Now, she’s seeing our baby girl grow up and we look forward to celebrating more birthdays with her around.

Unfortunately, their owner will be relocating next month and is unable to bring them along. Both are also well trained and obedient.

Toby is a 7 year old Weimaraner (left of the picture) and soppy to the hilt. He loves nothing more than to be with people, whatever they are doing, and generally spends most of his time napping at your feet or nearby you. Even though he’s a big fellow, we call him the “gentle giant”.

Isis is a 5 year old Black Labrador who most enjoys having a ball in her mouth and expects you to play fetch with her. Kind of a goofy lady, just as most Labs are. She has a minor thyroid problem that makes her a little smelly from time to time and requires her to be on Vitamin B. Their current owner will pay for any medical costs for any family that takes good care of her.

It would be most ideal if Toby & Isis can be adopted by one family and continue to stay together. However, our top priority is to find both of them loving homes by February 1, 2009. Hence, if you live in a big compound and you’re crazy about dogs, please do get in touch with us immediately. We will arrange for you to meet them in “person”.

2008 has been an extraordinary year for us, in more ways than one. We have truly been blessed with wonderful clients who bring us soooo… much joy every single day!
